Dear Elected and Appointed Officials:

As an observer of what's going on yesterday on Capitol Hill, I would like for you to address the concerns of many DC residents. Stop treating Trump's terrorist supporters with kid gloves! What is this BS? We believe the judge never should have released the main Proud Boys organizer out on the street after police found a magazine for an automatic rifle in his possession! Why wasn't he held to found out why the artillery was brought here in the first place? It's obvious by now why he brought it here. The Proud Boys, white supremacists and Trump's minions planned a coup. They came here to hurt people! Some came here to kill! And they are laughing at our court system. While only five dozen were arrested, tens of thousands roamed our streets! 


Mayor Bowser should hold a press conference informing DC residents and outsiders what to expect for the next 13 days. We live upper NW and saw MAGA people in our neighborhoods going to the grocery stores, drug stores and carryouts looking for bathrooms. It was smart that there was a police presence on the premises of these major neighborhood spots where DC residents frequently visit. It gave notice to the anarchists not to start any trouble in our neighborhoods. But they also traveled NE to Saratoga Ave starting mayhem! There was lagging and limited police presence we were told. So what's the plan? We can't compete with someone with an AK automatic machine gun that shoots 600 rounds in a minute! But when people (especially people who are the descendants of slaves) want to survive, we will not sit around, hide and sing songs. We will act!! They will not be able to march our young folk to cremation! It ain't happening!!


Rep. Norton, are you forbidden to speak publicly to DC residents? We are tired of hearing from other national leaders who we did not elect about our local situation. We elected you to ACT and say something on our behalf. We have no clue what you are doing if you don't tell us!


We are also asking our local media to keep us informed of what it sees in the neighborhoods. We are sitting ducks. We want MPD to protect DC residents (rich and poor). Black Lives Matter to us in every aspect of our lives. We are BLACK! This ain't no "Antebellum" movie. We are not going back to slavery or Jim Crow! We will fight and fight and fight if we have to. Don't bother to respond to this email. ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!!! Again, elected and appointed leaders, please do something and let DC residents know exactly what it is. Peace.
